Substance Use + Addiction support through a Harm Reduction lens

What is harm reduction?

Harm Reduction aims to decrease the unwanted consequences of drug use without necessarily reducing or ceasing the consumption of drugs. I support folks who use meth, coke, opioids, alcohol, weed, ecstasy, ketamine, GHB, and other drugs. I do not require or preach abstinence - I respect the unique needs, goals, and readiness of each individual.

I welcome all goals. Yours might include:

  • Building awareness of your triggers and patterns

  • Feeling more in control of your choices around substances

  • Learning ways to use more safely

  • Experimenting with a break or using in moderation

  • Exploring sobriety or long-term abstinence

  • Reducing negative impacts of substance use on your life

  • Recovering from difficult experiences related to substance use

  • Developing other ways to cope with stress, loneliness, or overwhelm

What about other addictions?

A harm reduction lens can be applied to non-substance-related addictions (shopping, porn, etc) and other behaviors that may be concerning to you (self harm, isolation, overworking, etc). It can be helpful for reducing the downsides of that risky, hedonistic, exciting thing you do or that familiar coping mechanism that you cherish.
